I bought this pattern from an online vintage pattern vendor and discovered the blouse pattern was missing!! After getting over my disappointment I decided to recreate the pattern by scaling up the pamphlet illustrations and then grade it to my size. I'm thrilled to say it fits perfectly! Will post some photos of the final product when it's finished and then start work on the pattern for this class. What do you think? This is quite a modern design for 1960's fashion. I have a post about this vintage couture pattern on my blog at www.mooshi.com.au.

One of the side fronts is now complete and ready for the next stage. Couture takes time and can't be rushed as a lot of hand stitching is needed to mark, place, baste and then stitch all the pattern pieces together. But the effort is definitely worth it. I also love working with wool! What do you think so far?

Voila...here it is! My 1960's vintage Jean Patou blouse made from my reconstructed and resized pattern. More photos and sewing articles on my web site blog and in via the studio menu. I need to line the inside with silk satin to really finish it off and then I'll model it for the camera :o))
