What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? The morning starting to warm up, the encroaching clouds. The sun hitting a ridge in the distance.

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? A bit of post processing to push some detail done with snapseed on my iPad , f8 to give me a higher shutter speed because it was a bit windy for handheld slower speeds. ISO 100 Nikon D90 18-200mm. Three shots taken from the same vantage point along the west rim trail, a slight change in composition gave me these results.

The tree branches in the foreground give the photo some perspective. It goes to show that bad weather can be good for photography.

I love the third one - the balance between the tree on the left and the rocks on the right are really nice.
