What was your inspiration?
The pattern was just gorgeous and I really wanted to knit it. To inspire myself, I held a giveaway on my blog, and one of the winners chose this pattern.
What are you most proud of?
How well the color changes worked. I knit the shawl while holding two strands of yarn simultaneously. I achieved the gradations by changing one strand of the yarn at specific points in the pattern, to get a sunset effect.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's actually very easy and simple, and the increases worked into the pattern are just intuitive. You'll be done before you know it.
