What was your inspiration?
Laurie Shifrin was in town and I wanted to take a class from her. This was one of the classes that she was offering, so I signed up! Because I love black and white fabrics and love adding just a whee bit of color to it, I had to try it with this pattern. Lime green is one of my favorite colors to play with so I went with it and I love the results.
What are you most proud of?
Laurie used a bias technique to make the little curved flanges in this design. I used the lime fabric for these. This is one on the only times I have ever used bias stems!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Once again use your imagination and have fun with the fabric!
