A Little Bit Crazy
foundation pieced black and white blocks
Orange and green snowball corners added
What materials did you use?
Dryer sheets for foundation piecing, cotton fabric, Heat and Bond for applique, cotton batting
I had gotten a large number of black and white strips of fabric participating in a shop hop, so I decided to use them for foundation piecing using dryer sheets as my foundation. Once I finished that, I decided the black and white was too boring. I added the green fabric and realized I didn't have enough to finish the whole quilt, and I couldn't find any more of the fabric. I decided to add orange to the mix. By the time I was done, the quilt top looked pretty crazy to me. One of my favorite quotes is "Unless you are a little bit crazy, you can't come into my house!" I appliqued that quote around the border of the quilt. When I pieced the back, I realized I didn't have enough orange fabric, so I stuck in some of the small pieces I had left over from the front of the quilt.
