What materials did you use? Swedish tracing paper for drafting the pattern. Stretch denim for skirt, piece of cotton for pocket lining and striped cotton to make bias tape. Fusible woven interfacing for the waistband and placket facings. 8 buttons and 1 hook. I've blogged about this project here: http://wp.me/p3RIIN-gJ

What are you most proud of? Because I already had fitted the basic pattern I could simply alter it to include a waistband and button front placket without having to worry about fit.

Nice, love the waist band trim. I'll have to try buttons on this pattern soon. :-)

Thank you! I found the bias tape on the waistband made it much easier to topstitch. Adding buttons is really easy so give it a go!

By the way: Did you serge and top stitch the hem or did you use a twin needle?

Thank you! I serged the edge, folded it over and used a coverstitch machine to hem. This gives a similar result as a twin needle.
