What are you most proud of? The good I am doing for someone I don't even know.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would advise anyone to take on this project - it is a real easy quilt - there are several patterns to choose from and you can take 4-6 weeks to make it! Just be sure to make another one to accompany the one you receive as a kit. Keep one on your project table to make as often as you can...sending it to ill children in the hospital is a very worthy cause and it makes you feel good to do it!

Was it hard to do the machine quilting? Love the colors.

no - not hard at all - and the size of the quilt is very easy to manuver.

awsome ...a few years back a group of friends made similar quilts but gave to an AIDS hospice center. The patients so appreciated them, many had no family , so a way to say "we care"

it is done pieced - one square is sewn to the next in a row - then the rows are sewn together - once all the squares are sewn - then the borders are added - the side borders are sewn first - then the top and bottom borders are sewn. The outside border is attached in the same manner. Next- the quilt is then "sandwiched" between the pieced front , a layer of batting and the back, it is "pinned" down - and then quilted. Finally a binding is added to the edges and it is completed.
