What was your inspiration?
At the time I started this project I was expecting twins (the last 2 babies left of natural triplets) but I did not know the gender so I started both female and male sets and had not gotten to a mixed gender pairing of quilts. I was grieving for the lost child and tried to channel that into planing for the future.
What are you most proud of?
In the end all 3 of the triplets were lost. I decided to finish the quilts and find some babies to give them to rather than hold on to them. It led to me making a memorial quilt that we kept. What I am proud of most is that this is the season in which I opened myself up to learning many things about quilting and sewing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is a great project for beginners! You can arrange the blocks in several ways to make different patterns.
