What materials did you use? DMC Mouline Special Variegated Embroidery Floss in color 121 (blue) and Loops & Threads Embroidery Floss in color 812 (green).I used all 6 strands of the embroidery floss.

What are you most proud of? I changed the pattern a teeny bit and used two shuttles, so I could make the one ring below the flowers in green, but otherwise I followed the pattern pretty closely. I ended with a lock stitch chain and some rings at the end of the tail.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Definitely starch the finished bookmark if you make it in the same thread this thick. In a smaller size, it might be stiff enough, but in the unsplit embroidery thread, it definitely benefited from some stiffening. I used the highly precise starching method of squirting some Elmer's glue in my hand then dumping in a bit of water, mixing it up and then squishing the bookmark around in the mix before laying it on some foil to dry.

That's a very pretty design that I've not seen before. I like how the 2 colors are used to make the flowers stand out with the "leaves and stem" in between. Thanks for sharing your starching method, it looks like it worked very well.
