I had a similar (store bought) t-shirt with a twist in the front, that I really loved. When it got stained and all my efforts to remove that stain failed, I took it apart and copied its pattern to jersey, to make myself a new one in the same shape.
When I de-constructed it I saw how clever this twist is.
In fact, it is so easy that any v-neck shirt pattern you have can be altered to add this twist!
What are you most proud of?
First time reverse engineering!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I have a knit dress (made in a sewing class) that is like this and I was going to make it into a top. Too cool! I think yours might be easier than the one I have. :)
Actually you don't have to get reversible fabric! The twist is a full circle (360 degrees). If you did half a twist (so that each side would show another side of the fabric, then the center seams would not meet!)
