Simplicity 5626---a 1970's pattern I have used over and over again for the hot Texas summers! I used a cute retro cocktail print that features gaggy drink recipes and various scenes of glamorous people and vintage kitties, chickens, etc. It's a riot.
What was your inspiration?
Myself melting in the summers here. I realized I better sew up some cotton dresses pronto, cuz polyester was just not cutting it!
What are you most proud of?
The fit is perfect and I wear it frequently. I looooove this pattern!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's fairly easy and is how I first learned darts, gathering (for the bodice cups), and a basic zipper. Great pattern to learn the basics, or if you're more experienced, to whip up in a couple of hours.
