Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: rolled fondant, gum paste, drageres pearl dust
What are you most proud of? I love how it turned out. My Mother and Father in-law were very happy to have such a beautiful cake to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary. It was easy to cut too!
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give yourself plenty of time. Do the ruffles and brooches before. Have your cake baked and coated with icing the day before. I had this all done and still had to cover cake with fondant assemble tiers and do the band and assemble the ruffles on and do the garland on the bottom and this still took me 8 hours.
