What materials did you use? This is a quilt top only, I haven't gotten around to quilting it yet. It is made with fabrics (a jelly roll and several yards miscellaneous for the borders) made by Moda called Prayer Flag. One of the fabrics had 2 borders which I removed for purposes of binding the quilt. There are also extra pieces left over to make shams, you can see those on the pillow at the head of the bed.

What are you most proud of? I stopped working on the central braids and started on the sham braids and I came out exactly perfect on both of them. Just plain lucky.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy the pattern and template from Quilt in a Day. Also, pay close attention to not having any two fabrics too close to each other, after assembling I discovered that I had sewn the same fabric side by side. Phooey, but it was too late to do anything about it.

I love the scrappy look of this quilt!

Thank you, I still have 2 charm packs and some yardage and will have to come up with another design to use them all up.

really like this . I have been wanting to try this type of braid , is it pretty easy to do?

It's super easy to do. I can't imagine doing it any way other than with a jelly roll. The template from Quilt In a Day makes it easy to cut the shapes. Have fun with it,
