Materials

Hoffman California International Fabric "Coming at You 3D" S#J8611-the butterflies that I bought online and various batiks from Quilt Trends to compliment

What was your inspiration?

A friend asked for a table cloth for a 50 inch round table with plums, greens and blues. The greens could not be forest or olive. I didn't want to do round as I am not quite good at curved binding. Therefore, I chose a 6-sided table topper pattern I had from a Quilt Trends Groovy Girls club which estimated the finished size as 40x47 inches.

What are you most proud of?

Overall how good it looked in person versus the photo despite some triangles being off. I am proud of the hand sewn finished binding, I am getting better the more I do . :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Measure and measure again before cutting. Then before stitching, be sure triangles are all correct size.
When cutting off excess fabric and batting be sure you are coming to right corners to enable the triangles to peak in the corners not 1/4-1/2 inch off. :(
Try not to be doing to much multitasking while making this table topper or you'll be off as I was.
Despite that be proud of the completed project.
