What was your inspiration?
The inspiration in each case was the need for a quick and easy charity quilt and a lot of scraps.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a great design for a beginner. There is no matching in these designs, so one can't get much easier than this. One can make the length and width of pieces anything one chooses and can vary the number of columns to easily make a quilt the length and width one might want with a minimum of calculations and no need for a pattern.
