Did you use plastic cake plate dividers in between tiers and if so how do you determine how to place the dowels and the depth of the dowel

Hi eagertolearn70, No I used just the cardboard circles the size of the cake. I have had a little trouble with stacked cakes so I put 8 big straws in bottom and 6 in the middle and 1 wooden dowel in the middle to tye all 3 tiers together. I took it myself and it traveled quite well. I hope this helps you. Nannygoat 123

Thank you - Didn't receive reply in time but all my fretting was for naught even though it was first ever tier cake or wedding cake. It turned out beautiful. Decorated each layer before delivering and put together on site and touched up. I did end up using the plastic dividers and it worked great. Used one dowel in middle of each tier and three in each tier. So excited to make another tier cake and also work on decorating skills thru the Craftsy Courses I am taking which are a tremendous help as I am not artistic or visionary in the least

Hi eagertolearn, I'm so glad you had success with the cake. I'm sorry you didn't get my comment sooner. I too love craftsy cources. I wouldn't be as good without the teachings of the classes. Hope to hear from you again.
