found basic pattern in a mag

What are you most proud of?

getting this finished as it was a botch up from start to finish! pattern was wrong, sizing and cutting so I had to fiddle with it to make it fit. I had cut twice as many blocks but gave up and made a smaller version.
I had a friend with a long arm quilt it for me as I was so over it.

With all your hard work you can be proud of the results! I think I would have just given up and used the fabric for somethingi else. Your persistence paid off! A lovely quilt - so modern - and I love the colors! Well done!

Well done for having the persistence to finish this in spite of all the difficulties. I think I would have given up long ago, but you've shown it was well worth all the blood, sweat and tears because it's lovely!

I just went back and read your story about this quilt. I know exactly what you mean about being "over it"! Several years ago I worked and worked on a quilt that just wasn't coming together. Pieces weren't fitting, colors fabrics didn't work the way had hoped. I finally bagged up all the blocks and dropped it off at Good Will in hopes that someone else could do something with it. Anything to get it out of my sight! Yours did turn out beautifully, though it may be a long time till you decide to try this pattern again. :)

I really like this. So bright and colorful, plus the 3D effect of the building blocks. Beautiful!
