What materials did you use? I was sent this dress pattern by accident instead of the pattern for the plus sized fitting class. I think it's the pattern from the couture dress class. Craftsy sent me the correct class pattern and told me I could keep the wrong pattern. I used cotton because it was a common material used in the 40s (although I'm pretty sure that was during the war and this dress would have way too much fabric to be a war time dress but whatever, I'm cheap.)
What are you most proud of? Pretty much the whole thing. I've never made anything other than costumes because I have never been able to get the fit right. Not only did I get this thing to fit me but I was even able to adjust the design. It looks so much better than I expected. I didn't think I'd wear it for anything but the party, but I'm going to take the arms off and add it to my wardrobe. I'm also really happy about how few mistakes I actually made. I had purchased twice the fabric the dress required because I'd planned on the first dress being the muslin but a basted fitting was all I needed to get it right.
