What was your inspiration?
I live in a small cabin during much of the summer. These four creatures are among the most commonly encountered when I am there, so I thought I would honor them with an embroidery project.
What are you most proud of?
The thin lines on the rabbit and the smoothness of the squirrel's lines are in contrast to the chipmunk and raccoon.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
For original embroidery, I would recommend using local features. Many of my images are from natural history of the Ozarks, but I would love to see other parts of the world captured in stitchery.
