What materials did you use? I used 30's print for the log cabins and the binding and lilac with white stars for the backing. I quilted it myself with an allover random design. Hobbs 80/20 batting inside.

What are you most proud of? The finished product looks very pretty and I think my friend is keeping it for herself! LOL Also I quilted it myself as this little size goes under my overworked home sewing machine well....

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time, square up your blocks as you go. You can chain piece the log cabins and it makes it fast to put together.

Love 30's fabric, and log cabin is one of my favorite patterns! This is beautiful!

I am going to make a quilt for the 1st time. It is my 3rd grandchild, but mom always made them in the past. I lost her 2 years ago and came to the realization that I had to pick up the torch and carry on. It's going to be a girl & probably my last grandchild. I love everything about this quilt you made. I have struggled so with what kind to make.....I think I have my answer. Please tell me it is not too difficult.....?? Thank you so much. Also, any tips you might be able to give me that might save some headaches would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know how you go and use precuts. Leave this pattern till you are a bit more experienced. ;-)
