What advice would you give someone starting this project? For my 1st try, I was very tense and working hard to make it work. I sat at the table on an uncomfortable stool watching the videos from class. I think I was pushing myself and trying to do too much at once. For my 2nd try I sat in my favorite chair for knitting and just let the spinning happen slowly working through the steps to get the feel of it. By the time I ran out fiber, the spinning felt good and I was relaxed - like I would after knitting.

Where did you purchase that spindle? Looks like it would hold a lot of fiber You did a great job. I'm also learning myself. .

I got the spindle through Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/mainewoodsyarn?ref=l2-shopheader-name). It was a kit with two spindles (top and bottom whorls). I've been playing with both, and was able to get about the braid of fiber on each spindle. Good Luck! :)
