Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This was a standard 1/2 sheet cake with a bit of carving. An extra layer of cake was added to accommodate the # of guests at the rehearsal dinner. Iced in swiss meringue buttercream and covered in fondant. The fondant was scored and painted to look like an oak barrel. Fondant slats were added and a hand painted logo finished off the look. The label was printed on frosting sheets using an edible printer and was made to look like the famous (and very expensive) Pappy Van Winkle's Whiskey.
What are you most proud of? The delicious cake flavors: Browned butter vanilla bean cake with bourbon swiss meringue buttercream. Worked great with the theme.
