What was your inspiration?

My niece, Emily who is 5 years old, and really loves puppies!

What are you most proud of?

This was a really fun block to make! It went together really fast, and I was so happy with them when they were done. I did flip the strips on the middle block, but that's OK. I don't think Em will notice!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you're going to use fat quarters for the strip set, you'll need to cut at least 3 strips that are 1 1/2 inches wide from each fat quarter. I only cut 2 to begin with, and I ended up being short 2 units. Cutting 3 strips of each fabric will ensure that you have enough to make your units. Oh, and don't bother trying to sew the strips togehter to make one really long strip, because all of your seams will end up in about the same spot, and you don't want those seams all in one unit anyway (I know, because I tried this!). Happy Piecing!

I like that flip on the middle block, and I love the fussy cuts for your centers:) Really cute block.
