Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2013 with Laura Nownes »

Instructions

Log cabin block really needs light and dark contrast for the strips. This large pattern does not show off the block in my opinion.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Other

Style: Funky

Materials

Center City by Jay McCarroll of Free Spirit for Westminster Fabrics.

What was your inspiration?

Hope for beautiful art quilts one day!

What are you most proud of?

There is still more to learn and I'm still able to learn. Every subject that I study has far more depth than what appears on the surface.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use fabrics that will show off the log cabin style. Contrasting colors or contrasting light/dark with smaller prints/solids.

I love this design and I don't know why. I don't really see the log cabin design in it but it's truly wonderful.
