I love your print background and how it brings everything together. Did you plan it all along?

No, not at all. This was my first experience quilting and I didn't have a clue what I was doing so it never really occurred to me to have a 'plan'.

Your quilt is really beautiful!

That is a truly exquisite quilt. I love the yellow and red roses among all the pinks, blues and greens. I have a quilt (scrappy) going through my mind at the moment for a grandchild and these are the colours I am going to be using. Really beautiful quilt.

These almost look like fabrics from the 1940's. for being your first quilt, you have an amazing eye for putting together colors. It is really beautiful!

What a great example of 2012 BOM. I am truly inspired! I really need to get started! Not enough hours in the day! How long did it take you? Did you have someone else quilt it for you, or did you quilt it yourself? Love it!

I did the blocks as they came out each month although with the holidays and all, I didn't do the sashing until February. I took it to a long arm quilter to have it quilted because I didn't want to attempt that myself and mess it up. :)
