What materials did you use? Fat quarter fabric I bought ages ago.

What are you most proud of? I am proud that I managed to sew something and it's usable!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use ribbon for the drawstrings instead of sewing fabric tubes. Too fiddly, especially if you can't cut in a straight line, like me.

If you cannot cut in a straight line you can tear (depending how thick) the fabric. Just snip in the sid and tear the rest it will usually tear on the grain and is straight. Please try first on scrap. By the way, I love your fabric choice.

I agree, if you dont have a ruller and a rottary cutter and a mat, then clip the fabric at the edge then tear it. It will tear straight on the grain. it will curl up on the sides, so make sure to iron it or just leave it like that, will make a cool tie just like that. sometimes if you use an old t shirt, and pull the material longer, it will all curl up and look nicely too.

oh, pull the t shirt material after cutting it and tearing it.
