What materials did you use? 100%cotton fabric, raisant thread

What are you most proud of? Actually got this block together - never done paper piecing before.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use slightly bigger seams as it turns out too big even using proper quarter inch seams - press carefully as a lot of bulk.

I paid for this course and now I cant pull it up. They want me to pay again.

Contact Craftsy Help Centre - they are usually very good.

No, you didn't "pay" for this course, PeggyJH. It's a free course.

Beth these are really gorgeous! I love your fabric choice and placement here. Great job!

Thank you Jean - this block I had a lot of trouble with but am glad the first one finally came out okay.

I'm kind of leery of both Sept and Oct blocks. Don't know why. Will give them a go once I can sew again. My new space is taking much longer than planned....

I love the fabrics & colors! That blue really makes the block.

10/11/2012 Flag

Thank you Darns - I liked the blue against the yellow.

Love your colours and it is very well done as usual even though you've said you had some trouble,,,, the result is excellent as usual. Bravo!

Thanks Sylvie - the stitch unpicker had a work out on this one but am relieved that I actually got this one done.

I wish Amy had specified how big to cut the fabric pieces, It is so much easier when you can cut the pieces beforehand and know that it will fit. I am taking a paper piecing class with Peggy Martin through Craftsy and she tells how big the pieces have to be and it is so so much easier. This is why I have not done these blocks yet...

I agree Sylvie - I have wasted quite a bit of fabric - cutting bigger than I needed to - I wanted to make sure I had sufficient fabric to cover each segment. But I suppose you learn how much to cut the more you do this paper piecing.
