What materials did you use? Haven't made the final decision yet, but I have a gorgeous 1960's crisp vintage voile I'd like to make the blouse in, and some beautiful linen to complement it.

It looks great so far, I love the waist detailing!

Here is a new toile of my vintage Patou couture pattern. I graded my original pattern to a bespoke size and it fits perfectly! What do you think?

Hi all...here it is! My 1960's vintage Jean Patou blouse made from my reconstructed blouse pattern. Underlined with silk organza, hand finished hooks and eyes, box pleat patch pockets and gusset sleeves. Visit my web site to read how I stitched the hooks and eyes and the gussets! :o)

Have now finished the embroidered collar applique for my vintage Jean Patou blouse. What do you think? Quite bold and unusual. Wearable art couture?

ok, I thought I'd share some insights into my experiences with this project - use good quality silk ribbons and threads.....I have used an inferior brand for this project which I won't be doing again. Use a proper embroidery frame that you can easily turn around to sew on the back of your work. I made my own frame with some claps but turning it over on the table made my work cumbersome. Take a risk and experiment with embellishments....who would have thought pin-striped black organza ribbon would make exceptionally striking daisies! Enjoy!
