Finally finished this quilt! The squares had been sitting in a shoe box for three years, but I declared 2014 the Year of the UFO and have been really trying to clean up old projects. I free motion quilted this on my domestic sewing machine by "swooping" each side of the half square triangles with a large arc. Although it was an easy method of quilting, I really love the pattern that developed on the back.

Wow is this pretty! So glad you finished it! I, too, like the quilting design, did you make your swoops continuous as you went or did you just start & stop with each individual elongated oval? Would love to try this design!

I tried to do it by strips (rows) and then when i came to the end of the the row, I traveled on the waste edge to the next row whenever possible.

All those triangles! I would be bonkers! This is beautiful! You did a great job!
