Patty Young's Lush Line of cotton Wovens for Michael Miller

What was your inspiration?

All the Disney Princess dresses that people keep posting had me falling in love with this dress. I have had some of Patty Young's fabric laying around for a while and figured I might as well use them for my cousin's baby shower gift.

What are you most proud of?

I really like how the ruffle panel comes together. I think the bodice of the dress is also very elegant.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Split your gathering stitches on the skirt and the skirt ruffle, instead of making 2 long rows of stitches from 1 end of the piece to the other, split it in the middle- at least once- I will likely split it into 3 sections personally next time- to make gathering easier.
