Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: My friend wanted 12 cakes (1 for each table at her wedding reception). The theme was vintage circus. We used thrift store cake plates for stands. 6 buttercream cakes (2 rosettes, 2 ribbons, and 2 thumbprint). The other 6 were fondant. I used the MMF recipe and added a scraped vanilla bean to each batch for a vintage look. The wax paper transfer method worked beautifully. It was 105 in Phoenix last night, so I did a ratio of 75/25 butter and shortening in my buttercream and used edible glue for a more secure way to attach the modeling chocolate. It all held up perfect!!!

What are you most proud of? These are the FIRST cakes I've ever made and decorated!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy a cake dummy and practice practice practice. I liked trying different icing recipes and then setting the dummy outside in the Phoenix heat to see how it would hold up.
