What are you most proud of? My goal is to make these as close to the original as I can, just miniature. They take me about 12 to 18 hours from start to finish. I have more in different patterns, I just haven't written them up yet.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Please keep in mind that this is very tiny knitting.

One of my favorite Barbie items of all time was an elaborate cable knitted white robe with mini pearl buttons that my aunt knitted me--almost as tiny of knitting as yours--and I, like you, wanted a lifesize one of my own to curl up in! Beautiful knitting!

I've made quite a few clothes for Barbie. It's great fun and dolls clothes are a fabulous way to learn new skills. Among others, I made a cable sweater, a cabled shoulder bag, a shawl collar cardigan with pockets and belt and a strapless dress with frilled edge cardigan. They're actually not as fiddly as you think they're going to be and of course they knit up so quickly! There's a brilliant pattern book by Nicky Epstein if you want to try.

Knitting sweaters (& other garments) for my daughters Barbie is how "I"gained the confidence to knit sweaters for myself, husband, & four kids (2 boys & 2 girls) over 40 yrs ago! And my husband wanted a fisherman knit sweater with an advanced pattern, a rolled collar, and hidden inset pockets! I did it! And even used expensive Irish wool! As I knit I'd have to pull out little tiny twigs & pieces of moss! Ha!

If only I had a little girl to make this for. Great job!
