Cotton, pictures printed on fabric printer sheets, lots of thread, steam a seam 2, pellon fusible fleece, poly-fil.
What was your inspiration?
I had purchased the pattern to make this flower applique pillow several months ago and was not sure how to use the steam a seam 2, I thought I could make 4 place mats with several pictures and use the templates for the flowers. However it took forever to make just one with all of the stitching I did on these. So Mom is getting a pillow and I think it turned out pretty great for my first try.
What are you most proud of?
That I did it and it will even be in the mail and to Mom on time!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time and don't try to do all in one day! It is great fun and will definitely do again, maybe Mom with get those place mats some day.
