Instructions

Use many Asian fabrics , cut large blocks and arrange them in a way that pleases you. Nothing very hard here.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod, Classic, Romantic

Materials

Many Asian fabric blocks sewn randomly into a quilt pattern sort of like a crazy quilt but not so crazy. It is backed with cream and burgundy cotton with a Japanese landscapes. Size: 40" x 50"

What was your inspiration?

I was using Asian, Japanese fabrics for a while until I got tired of them. I made many Japanese quilts a few are posted here.

What are you most proud of?

I gave this to my daughter and she gave it to her best friend along with the three matching pillows, not pictured. I was proud of her for being willing to share her things but I was not consulted and it did hurt me a bit since this was the first quilt I had ever given her. It was not the last. She owns at least 8 of them only much larger.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't give your quilts away unless you don't really care where they go.

That is so true, I learned that many years ago when I saw how my wallhanging was never ever cleaned. I really like how you designed this quilt. Thanks for sharing.
