This is a very easy 2-color pattern that is knitted flat, then the ends are joined to form a rosette ruffle. My patterns are written in a non-traditional way to be very beginner-friendly. I use few, if any, abbreviations and give instructions in a row-by-row format in easy-to-read large type with a color picture of the finished project.

What was your inspiration?
The classic slip-stitch cotton dishcloth! It's an easy pattern to learn how to use 2 colors in an interesting way.
What are you most proud of?
That I took an ordinary kitchen item and redid it in an elegant, feminine way to wear.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid of using 2 colors and the slip stitch - it really is an easy way to get a more complex look.
