I LOVE all the purple! Are the grapes in the basket made with hexies? Very cute idea! I really adore your economy block too... love the movement in it! Flowers in the centre is a really sweet touch too! Lots of interesting little bits, well done! Can't wait to see it finished... no pressure LOL!

yes the grapes are hexigons sewn together and machine appliqued

how do you already know before September what the flowers look like and where they should be placed? This BOM doesn't allow people to go ahead of anyone else so how do you already have pictures of your finished block for September?

Some people choose to do their own thing and so can complete a block ahead of time. mtmquilter chose to add grapes to her basket instead of flowers... appropriate for her colour scheme wouldn't you say? Adding leaves and a ribbon round the handle is also a nice personal touch.

I didn't plan to do flowers I wanted to stick with the purple and fremch theme so I made grapes out of small hexigons and machine appliqued them down. I look at these Quilt a longs as guides and you are the designer so live alittle and be expressive isn't that part od having fun!
