Instructions

Materials

Serger, Sewing Machine, ruffler for sewing machine, Quilting Cotton, Serger Thread, polyester thread, Woolly Nylon, rotary cutter and mat, and rulers.

What was your inspiration?

The projects made by fellow students.

What are you most proud of?

I used my serger with rolled hem as well as the regular serging plate. My sewing machine with ruffler foot. I finished it!! I loved the fabric when I walked by it, and then I found 1 CONE only of verigated serger thread, I could not believe my luck, all the colours I needed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and use elements from fellow students projects and enjoy.
Thank you Amy looking forward to more classes.
Val.

I like that you "promise to make the stitch bible". That gave me a good chuckle! ;) You did such a beautiful job on the apron, Val! That variegated thread is PERFECT, and your stitch looks so beautiful. I'm so proud of you, especially for cleaning and oiling your machine to help it run more smoothly. Fantastic job!
