Crafting was not part of my life growing up. I stumbled into it in 2005 whilst homeschooling our two youngest children inside a freezing cold Armidale, NSW, caravan park cabin. We were living there for 6 months whilst my husband filled a temporary teaching post. With not much to do after teaching the kids, I turned to some craft magazines loaned by a fellow homeschooler. Wow ? inspiration hit, and the words, ?I could do that? fell from my lips. I got hooked with the first stitch, and have never looked back. My first designs were shared through my blog in 2009, and a steady following grew from there. Many of my patterns feature roses, a touch of whimsy, and the occasional childhood delight scattered about. I?m a stitchery gal first and foremost, so be prepared for plenty of downtime with needle and thread in my patterns! Blanket-stitch appliqué is a pretty diversion and I love to mix it up with a bit more stitchery. Colour wise I am split between gorgeous shabby pastels, or those retro 1940-50?s reds, blues, greens and yellows. On a personal note - I am a little crazy, drink too much coffee, need to write something every day, love to be on the back of my husband?s motorbike, am a blessed child of God, and think Jamie Oliver is the coolest cook.
