Pattern Description:

A stuffed pumpkin with dangling legs and arms made using fabric yo-yos strung together with floss. The body is 6" in height and diameter and constructed with three different contrasting fabrics pieced together. The spider is approximately 12" in diameter and 7" tall with bendable yo-yo legs. The round Clover Quick Yo-Yo Maker templates were used for these projects (Extra Large, Large, Small and Extra Small).

  • YO-YO PUMPKIN: 1/3 yard each of six different coordinating orange & gold fabrics
  • 1/4 yard each of two coordinating green fabrics for hands, feet & stem
  • 4" x 6" black felt for face
  • Two 1/2" black half ball shank buttons for eyes
  • No. 5 black perle cotton floss
  • No. 3 black perle cotton floss (used to define body sections)
  • No. 3 orange perle cotton (used to string yo-yos)
  • Clover Quick Yo-Yo Makers: Extra Large (finish size 2 1/4" dia.) Large (finish size 1 3/4" dia.) Small (finish size 1 1/8" dia.) Extra Small (finish size 3/4" dia.)
  • 3" doll needle
  • Needle with large eye (for perle cotton)
  • Fray Check
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Optional: Awl, plastic template
