Pattern Description:

Instructions and patterns for two adorable elephants. A 10" tall yo-yo elephant whose body is created with two sizes of yo-yos strung together with thick thread and a stuffed head. Also included in this pattern is a 4" x 10" stuffed version with a saddle made from small yo-yos. He makes a fun and functional pin cushion with a safety pin collar. Yo-yo maker templates used were Clover's size small (green), large (orange), and extra-large (yellow).

  • STUFFED ELEPHANT: 1/4 yard of cotton fabric for body
  • 1/8 yard of coordinating cotton fabric for the ears
  • Assorted cotton fabric scraps for the yo-yo saddle
  • Two 1/2" diameter buttons for eyes (no shanks)
  • Twenty 1/2" diameter buttons for tail (no shanks)
  • Small Clover Yo-yo Maker (finished size approximately 1 1/4" diameter)
  • Round head straight pins (for attaching saddle)
  • 80 small silver colored safety pins for the necklace
  • Thin twine or ribbon for threading through safety pins for necklace
  • Optional: Small sewing kit as an embellishment to insert in the saddle
  • Optional: Poly-beads to stuff feet for additional weight and stability
