Pattern Description:

The Lizzie pattern is a cute, modern-looking design offering a choice of a wrap dress, or wrap top with ruffled Capri pants.

Appearances can be deceptive: The dress design is actually inspired by a 1930s "overall" (a kind of apron worn for housework) and the top and capris option owes its origin to a pair of 1930s heirloom silk pyjamas. Some fashions never change!

The kimono style wrap dress/top features a simple style bodice and flared skirt. The dress/top closes with snaps or velcro.

This cute pattern allows you the opportunity to mix and match printed and plain fabrics to great effect, and is a good way to gain confidence in using bias binding on curved edges.

This pattern is designed for 18 inch dolls such as American Girl, Madame Alexander, Gotz and other similar soft bodied dolls. It will also fit the Bitty Baby and Bitty Twins dolls.

The pattern comprises a 19 page ebook of photo instructions and eight pattern pages.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit vinyl soft bodied 18 inch dolls

Materials:

  • Three toning fat quarters for each outfit

You Will Also Need:

  • Trims, purchased bias binding (Optional), elastic, buttons, snaps or velcro

Nowadays I design doll clothes patterns and I digitize designs for machine embroidery ...
