Pattern Description:

My son asked me to make him a rhino lovey. He and his dad created a mock-up for me and I created the pattern from their design. A little different than the usual lovey blanket - it's perfect for your little tough guy or gal!

Pattern contains six pages of instructions and one page of pattern pieces.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished blanket is 17"x17"


  • 1/2 yard of fleece, minky, or plush fabric for the rhino head and main part of the lovey blanket
  • Fat quarter or 1/2 yard of satin, quilters cotton or knit for the underside or lining of the blanket
  • Optional: Scrap of fleece in contrasting color for the inner ears
  • Scrap of white fleece or flannel for tusks.
  • Scraps of black felt for eyes.
  • Stuffing
  • Matching thread
  • Sewing Machine
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Needle
  • Disappearing or washable fabric marking pen/pencil
