Basic Skills Necessary:

  • simple sewing - hand or machine

Pattern Description:

I designed this sewing pattern especially for beginning stitchers! Stitch up a crew of pirates and a troop of ninjas - or any other finger puppets you can imagine!

You'll get complete instructions (with loads of step-by-step photos) to make a set of three pirate and three ninja finger puppets, full-sized patterns (no enlarging needed).

You'll also receive a blank pattern (no pirates or ninjas - just the cutting and stitching lines) so you can design your own additions. Maybe you need some barrels for the pirates to hide behind? Or some trees for the ninjas to hide behind? Or maybe you want to make a completely different set. Flowers and fairies? Cowboys and aliens? Cats and dogs? The sky's the limit!

I designed this especially for beginning sewers so the pattern includes a stitching line to follow. Each puppet is small enough to quickly and easily stitch up by hand - and the pattern includes links to videos showing you what you need to do.

Want to make a puppet theater to go with your puppets? There's a free pattern in my collection.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • each puppet is roughly 3 inches tall

Materials:

  • less than a fat quarter of white fabric

You Will Also Need:

  • colored pencils, black felt tip pen
