- Sew a straight stitch on your sewing machine.
- Baste.
- Do simple embroidery.
Pattern Description:
An octopus is a fun softie to make and to play with. Don't be intimidated by sewing and turning all those legs! This pattern makes it easy. With a half yard of fleece, some felt scraps, and a pair of safety eyes you'll be able to make an adorable octopus to hug!
You can sell the toys you make from this pattern! You'll need to credit me, Abby Glassenberg, as the pattern designer with a tag and a direct link back to this pattern for online sales.

You can sell items made from this pattern as long as you follow these regulations:??
1. Keep a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase.?
2. The items cannot be mass-produced. They must be made by hand, one at a time.?
3. Items must be made only by the individual who purchased the pattern.?
4. Credit is given to Abby Glassenberg as the pattern designer on a tag affixed to each item and, if selling online, the listing (on Etsy, etc.) must contain a direct link to where the pattern can be purchased.?
5. You may make alterations to the pattern, but you must still link to the original pattern and credit Abby Glassenberg on the item's tags and listings.

Materials:
- White and aqua fleece, 1/2 yard each
- 2 black plastic safety eyes, 12 mm
- Black embroidery floss, 18 inches
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing, 9 ounces
- Scraps of felt in white and blue
- All-purpose thread in white
You Will Also Need:
- Chalk for marking fabric.
- Embroidery needle.
- Scissors for fabric and paper.
- Hemostats and freezer paper are optional, but helpful.
