Pattern Description:

The inspiration for Miss Belle came from a doll I had as a child. The basic colours for the doll can be altered creating a multitude of different looks. The dress is removable and can be made in any colour.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished doll is 12" (30.5cm)

  • 10 x 16 inches (25.5 x 40.5 cm) White cotton for the doll's body. 11 x 11 inches (28 x 28 cm) Black felt for the dress. I usually use wool based felt, recycled Eco felt also works well. 3 x 3 inches (7.5 x 7.5 cm) White felt for the collar. 9 inch (23 cm) Length of Ric Rac to trim the bottom of the dress (flat narrow braid woven in zigzag form, used as a trimming for clothing). Chunky yarn for the hair. The yarn I used here is from Sirdar, Big Softy, Super Chunky wool & acrylic mix. Wool or polyester filling for the doll's body. For this doll I used wool. Cotton embroidery floss/thread for the facial features, red & black Spool of white thread, cotton or polyester Gutterman thread. 2 x 2 hole small buttons to attach the arms 1 small snap fastener for the dress 2-1/4 inch (6 cm) square of iron on interfacing, to back the doll's face when embroidering.
