Pattern Description:

Here is a panda bear pattern with a vintage look and styling!

Meet Mim, a sweet vintage style panda!
A delightful 14 inch fully jointed bear, easy to sew old fashioned panda

Included are precise and detailed written directions, step by step through the entire bear making process: from pattern cutting to sewing to finishing. Also included are my "tips" throughout the pattern which I have learned from sources as Rotraud Ilisch of Germany, Linda S. Mead of Spare Bear Parts, and from years of creating my own bear patterns.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 13 1/2 inches to 14 inches tall
  • Pattern is resizable by printing pattern pieces less than 100%


  • 1/6 yard of dark mohair
  • 12 inch x 12 inch piece of light mohair
  • 8 inch x 10 inch paw pad material
  • 12 mm pair of shoebutton eyes
  • 6 - 1.50 hard disks for joints: arms, head
  • 4 - 1.75 hard disks for joints: legs
  • 5 - Cotter pins or locknut and bolt sets
  • 10 - Washers #6 or #8
  • Excelsior Stuffing
  • Polyfill premium stuffing (black Airtex recommended)
  • Plastic pellets (small) 1/2 cup
  • Old style tilt growler (small) optional
  • Waxed dental floss
  • Bees wax
  • Stuffing stick
  • Awl
  • Fine tip waterproof marking pen (white and black)
  • Cotter pin key tool or needle nose pliers
  • Locknut and bolt drivers

You Will Also Need:

  • Upholstery thread (black or tan)
  • Embroidery thread (black)
  • Hand sewing needles
  • Doll sculpting needle (5" or 7")
  • Sewing machine
  • Antiquing Tools and Supply:
