You can use Lee & Pearl Sewing Pattern 1001 to create a variety of relaxed fit, "plain white T" style shirts for 18" dolls (American Girl-sized) with crew neck and V-neck, long and short sleeve options.
This pattern came about after our designer tried to find a relaxed fit, boy-appropriate T-shirt that could be used in a layered outfit. Every unfitted T she tried also featured unfitted sleeves that bunched up and got in the way of jackets or other outer garments. Armed with an understanding of the relationship between the pattern armscye curve and the resulting sleeve cap, our designer knew she could do better. The result is this pattern: uniquely drafted to produce sleeves that fit snugly all the way up to a narrow armhole - ideal for layering under anything you please! As you can see from our photos, the resulting T-shirts look great by themselves as well, either on American Girl dolls or "American boy" customs.
With all Lee & Pearl patterns your packet includes computer drafted, fully marked and guaranteed-to-fit-together pattern pieces, as well as step-by-step, photo-illustrated instructions.
This pattern may be printed solely by the original purchaser. It may not be duplicated, redistributed, posted or resold without prior authorization from Lee & Pearl. If you use this pattern to make items to sell yourself, we ask that you give Lee & Pearl design credit in the description of those items. If you send the link to your sale to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, we will happily post it on our Pinterest page. Thank you!
