Pattern Description:

Learn dressing skills from head to tail with a whimsical little friend! Create a two foot long caterpillar that has seven dressing activities to help develop fine motor skills; snap, button, lace, zip, tie, velcro and buckle! Each of the six sections separates independently of the others allowing children to match findings (snap to snap, button to button hole) and practice their basic dressing skills.

Eleven pages of detailed instructions with 40 color photographs and full size patterns are included. Optional instructions let you choose to add a zipper or skip that sometimes daunting notion.

Patterns may be used for individual use and for small home based business. Any other use, including (but not limited to) selling patterns, selling modifications of the pattern, using the pattern for commercial promotion is strictly prohibited, and a violation of copyright law. When selling a finished item please provide credit for use of the pattern.


Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • finishes about 2 feet long

Materials:

  • 6 pieces of cotton fabric at least 8" x 18" (or a 1/4 yd. of each fabric if cut from the bolt)
  • 1/4 yd. of white polyester felt (58" wide)
  • 3 remnants of cotton fabric for antenna

You Will Also Need:

  • Thread
  • 2 black buttons 5/8"
  • 1 1/2" velcro
  • 2 snaps
  • 14" of cord, 3/8" ribbon or a shoelace
  • 1 button 7/8"
  • 1 buckle
  • 1 9" zipper (optional)
