Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew a straight stitch on the sewing machine.
  • Baste.
  • Sew two pieces right sides together.
  • Ladder stitch.
  • Backstitch.

Pattern Description:

It's time for some Halloween sewing fun! This sewing pattern gives you three designs in one: a ghost, a pumpkin, and an adorable candy corn.

All three softies are easy and quick projects to make. Perfect for beginners or to sew with kids!

The finished toys are about 12 inches tall.

This pattern includes:

-step-by-step photos guiding you as you sew
-easy to understand directions that are clear and concise
-links to helpful articles about every technique used
-full-sized templates you can print again and again

To make Candace the Candy Corn you'll need:
-scraps of fabric in yellow, white, orange, and black (I used fleece)
-1 pair of 8mm safety eyes in black (get them here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/202079832/8mm-safety-eyes-in-black-5-pairs?ref=shop_home_active_1)
-black and red embroidery floss or Perle cotton, 12 inches of each
-coordinating thread
-fiberfill stuffing, 2.5 ounces

To make Jack the Pumpkin you'll need:
-1/4 yard of orange fabric (I used fleece)
-scraps of fabric in light and dark green and black
-1 pair of 8mm safety eyes in black (get them here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/202079832/8mm-safety-eyes-in-black-5-pairs?ref=shop_home_active_1)
-black embroidery floss or Perle cotton, 12 inches
-coordinating thread
-fiberfill stuffing, 5 ounces

To make Gil the Ghost you'll need:
-1/4 yard of white fabric (I used fleece)
-scraps of fabric in hot pink and black
-1 pair of 8mm safety eyes in black (get them here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/202079832/8mm-safety-eyes-in-black-5-pairs?ref=shop_home_active_1)
-black embroidery floss or Perle cotton, 12 inches of each
-coordinating thread
-fiberfill stuffing, 2.5 ounces
