Pattern Description:

These adorable felt animal baskets are simple to make! Fill them with candy and tiny gifts for parties, baby showers & Easter. They are stitched entirely by hand, using the whip stitch, blanket stitch and straight stitch. Instructions are included to make a bunny, chick, lamb, monkey, frog and bear basket. The finished baskets are 2 1/2" in diameter by 2" tall (this measurement does not include the ribbon handle or animal ears). The baskets are made from scraps of felt, ribbon and thread/floss.

Materials:

Acrylic or wool felt scraps (4 1/2" x 8 1/2" pieces or smaller) - lavender, yellow, light yellow, orange, pink, white, turquoise, light turquoise, soft blue, medium brown, beige, lime green, light green, ivory, charcoal/black
5/8" Grosgrain ribbon - one 6 1/2" piece is needed for each basket handle
Sewing thread/embroidery floss - blue for eyes & muzzle lines, colors that match felt
